Teaching project C-01: verified value of reduced consumption is €80,000 per year; a separately delivered flexibility service earns €10,000; incremental costs are €12,000. A reserve takes 10% of the positive balance. After reserve, owner and investor each receive 40%, and the practitioner receives 20%. The Academy receives 10% of the practitioner’s fee. All rates and amounts are illustrative.

Level-one foundations
The contract starts with the asset’s useful service, baseline and promised action. Identify who surveys, designs, funds, installs, operates, measures and accepts the work. Give each role an output and deadline.
Distinguish a guaranteed metric, a forecast and conditional additional compensation. Projected savings support payment only through an agreed procedure. This workshop prepares technical and economic terms; governing law, signatory authority and the obligation’s legal form are established for the specific agreement.
A contract schedule defines measurement boundaries, baseline period, adjustments, data quality and discrepancy resolution. Include the formula, sources, calculation frequency, acceptable missing data and responsible verifier.
Weather, production and operating schedules alter the comparison baseline. Tariff changes alter monetary valuation. Keep these causes separate. When asset use changes, record the event and apply a predefined baseline revision procedure. Data loss does not automatically imply zero savings or full guarantee achievement.
First calculate the verified value of avoided consumption. Add separately delivered services where the agreement permits them and the resource has not been counted twice. Deduct incremental operating, measurement and delivery costs. The remaining balance is the allocation base.
C-01 gives €80,000 + €10,000 − €12,000 = €78,000. A €7,800 reserve leaves €70,200 for distribution. Link each receipt to evidence and a payer. Recording a virtual token without a backed obligation does not create cash income.

Open learning is available without a charge for knowledge. Practical qualification is tied to an implemented project. The Academy’s participation in practitioner income needs a clear separate term specifying base, rate, period, exclusions and termination. Reading materials alone does not establish a fee rate.
In C-01 the practitioner receives 20% of €70,200, or €14,040. The Academy receives 10% of that fee: €1,404. The practitioner retains €12,636. This links Academy compensation to actual practitioner earnings. The mechanics are illustrative; actual terms are contractual.
Positive project value still needs an allocation that allows participants to meet their obligations. The investor evaluates its own post-allocation cash flow and costs. The owner considers payments, comfort, downtime and equipment rights. The practitioner considers work, support and responsibility.
Five equal annual investor payments of €28,080 discounted at 10% have a present value of approximately €106,445. An initial €80,000 investment gives an NPV of approximately €26,445 before taxes and other excluded cash flows. Changing shares can change that conclusion while total savings remain the same.

Separate technical underperformance, lower service prices, higher costs, missing data and equipment failure. For each event, define response order, cost allocation, correction time and recovery evidence. A reserve has a purpose, limit and release rules.
If C-01 verified value falls to €50,000 with other revenue and costs unchanged, the pool is €48,000. After reserve, €43,200 is distributed. A negative pool produces a deficit; its funding needs a separate term. Setting payouts to zero does not resolve losses.
Specify equipment ownership, data access, configuration rights, maintenance and treatment of improvements after expiry. Describe handover of models and documentation to a new operator. Each digital right needs a defined obligation, debtor and performance conditions.
When selling flexibility, check compatibility with other promised services. The same interval of available capacity cannot satisfy incompatible commitments simultaneously. Closure requires an equipment-condition record, open-defect list, final settlement and evidence-retention arrangements.
Run at least baseline performance, shortfall, zero benefit, negative balance, an owner operating change and failure of a key meter. Give the same event table to each party and ask for independent settlement calculations.
A discrepancy reveals a term that permits different interpretations. Clarify the formula and rerun the case. The workshop produces a negotiable package of terms, schedules and worked examples. Design automated execution once the consequences of the terms can be reproduced unambiguously.
Trace each payment from verified performance to its recipient. The practitioner share is the remainder after owner and investor shares.

Prepare a deal passport, obligation matrix, measurement schedule, allocation formula, risk register, data and equipment terms, closure procedure and six settlement scenarios. Identify the basis, recipient and timing of every payment.
The defence assigns owner, practitioner and investor roles. Each independently calculates payments from the same event set. Practical qualification requires participation in an implemented project with verified outcomes; completing a contract form demonstrates the teaching exercise only.
Academy teaching rubric: 100 points maximum. The calculation defence requires at least 80 points and all mandatory checks. Practical assessment additionally requires an implemented project and measurements. This page prepares the work; it does not issue certificates automatically.
